I chose tennis as the sport i researched.the sport is played with 2 people versing each other or can be played in doubles.there r raquets that are use to the ball with.The ball must be hit over the net,the continuosly until a player hits it out or misses the ball.

Week 6

In the ancient olympics first place would get an olive wreath to wear on their heads and second and third would get nothing.Also in the modern olympics they use to think thatsilver was greater and better than gold until 1904 st.louis replaced silver for gold.Ever since 1928 the front of the olympic medal has always been the same,it represents a Greek goddess, the Olympic Rings, the coliseum of ancient Athens, a Greek vase known as an amphora, a horse-drawn chariot, and the year, number of the Olympiad, and host city.

The olympic torch is a symbol of the olympic games,representing the theft of fire from the greek god Zeus.Through out the whole olympics relay the flame is kept burning.

The emblem on the olympic are 5 rings on a white field.it was designed by Baron Pierre de Coubertin,the founder of the modern olympics.The 5 rings represent the 5 continents of the world.The colours of the rings are blue, yellow, black, green, and red

Week 3
Citius, Altius, Fortius,these are the olympic motto and these 3 latin words mean Swifter, Higher, Stronger.These mottos were borrowed by Baron de Coubertin.he got the idea off Father Didion after he used the words as a way to describe the great achievement in his school and Coubertin used those words to describe the goals of the athletes as way as achievement too.

Week 2
The modern olympic games started 776bc and then in 1890,the man who was known Coubertin formed a sports organization to help the people of France to like sports the way he did.Union des Sociétés Francaises de Sports Athlétiques (USFSA) was the name of the organization that he created.
